US
Lazy Bison Music Society is a registered non‑profit music organization in Wainwright, Alberta dedicated to promoting live music, local artists, and community‑driven events. We create welcoming spaces for musicians and audiences by showcasing homegrown talent and hosting performers from across Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Our flagship event, Lazy Bison Music Fest, began in 2024 and quickly grew from a small multi‑band show into a full festival celebrating live music, creativity, and community connection. Inspired by the bison—Wainwright’s symbol of strength—and a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere, Lazy Bison events are built to be approachable, memorable, and rooted in local culture.

Lazy Bison brings live music to our community year‑round through both partnered and self‑produced events.
We collaborate with local organizations like the Wainwright Arts Festival and the Wainwright Chamber of Commerce, providing live music for events such as Music Night and the Trade Expo. More community‑based performances are planned throughout the year.
Our flagship event is Lazy Bison Music Fest—an all‑ages, multi‑genre festival created by the Lazy Bison Music Society. This annual celebration brings musicians, partners, and the community together for a full day of live music.
